The Plague

OK...so maybe not...but it sure as heck is starting to appear suspicious to ME...

You see, right now, my family has out of town friends staying with us for the month of January.  As of right now, the majority of us are either sick, just getting better, or starting to go downhill.  With what you ask?  THE FLU.  Not the stomach flu (believe me, I'd be half-way to Guatemala by now if that were the case), but the FLU.  Fevers, aches, all-around yucky-ness....

Well, needless to say, I AM TERRIFIED FOR MY LIFE!!!!!!  I am hiding in my room shaking in fear at the thought of illness taking me down.  I'll fight the fight, but with illness permeating the air, I-I just don't know how I'm going to make it! OH!  THE HOOORRROORRR!!!

Below, I've listed the precautions one must take to avoid being infected:

1) Move to California
2) Wear a hospital mask
3) Hide under your covers...and take a nap
4) Do the hokey-pokey
5) Sleep
6) Eat...a lot
7) Watch movies
8) Sleep some more
9) AVOID HOMEWORK AT ALL COSTS
10) Smell a bouquet of roses (Works like a charm..although, roses aren't particularly fragrant...)

Alright, enough of my melodramatic shananigans...have I mentioned that I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in about a month?!?!?!?!  WELL I HAVEN'T!!!  I may very well be on the verge of mental collapse.

In other news, I am (im)patiently waiting to hear the results of my second interview for a full-ride, four year scholarship to Eastern Michigan University.  The interview was yesterday and I'll know by Friday (if I live that long).  So if you could send good thoughts and prayers my way, that would be appreciated!

Well, I am off to take a nap...or watch TV...or read a book, haven't really decided yet.

Peace!
