You don't understand "pain" until you've had to go through an all day rehearsal. You see, these don't just involve physical pain (which they do when they're dance heavy...which, Babes In Arms isn't TOO bad in that department, at least not for me). All day rehearsals are mentally one of the most challenging and DRAINING experiences ever!!!!!!
Literally, by the end, I was in a heap on the floor next to one of my best friends and play "mother" (Mrs. Phyllis Owens) giggling until I had tears streaming down my face and everyone in the room looking at us like we were psychotic.
Do you want to know why we were laughing so hard?? Well, we decided it'd be grand to read all of my lines as "foreigners"...anyone from Jennifer Owen's alter ego "Juniper Olay" or German people...oh, yeah, it was....weird.
Anyway, this is what I'm trying to TELL you!!! Days like today suck the sense and reason from your brain and splatter them across the floor.
All I want to do at this point is go to bed. In fact, I'm seriously considering crashing on the couch righ' now!! Oh yah.
I definitely can say I understand now how actors and actresses can end up being mentally unstable!! Acting definitely does something to a person. Oh well, exhaustion, awkward scenes and everything all together is adding up to me not making any sense...
Anyhootnholler, enjoy this picture of an adorable, sleepy baby...it might give you a little insight into just HOW tired I am right now.
Have a good night!!
Peace!
