The Return of the Freak

I'M ALIVE!   I've been pretty absent lately.  I mean, well, you know...life happens.

Basically, I'm dying of an incurable disease called, "exhaustion."  It's also known as: Overworked, Overwhelmed, and Emotional Constipation.....it's a pretty broad disease covering any number of issues and varies person-to-person, which is why most people just refer to it simply as, "exhaustion."  It's general enough that it can cover all of your bases with just a simple, easy to understand word.  Not even that hard to pronounce either!!

Unfortunately for me, at this point, caffeine is only doing SO much and it's a short-term cure only, with positive side-affects only lasting for a few hours at a time.  Honestly, it's enough to make you want to move to change your name, pack your bags, escape to a tropical island and sip on alcoholic beverages and make sure people forget about your existence.

Ahhhh if only I were independently wealthy...or won the lottery...the things I could do.

Oh well, I'll get over it with about a month straight of sleep and quite possibly some heavy doses of medication (morphine?  Vicodin?  The options are endless....)

I do hope you all are enjoying your Memorial Day.  Which, by the way, is COMPLETELY misconceived by the general public!  This is enough of an issue that I must insist on taking a moment to clarify the matter for all you idiots....MEMORIAL DAY IS NOT Veterans Day.  OK?  It is commemorating all those who have passed on before us WITH a slight focus on those military heroes who have died for our freedom.  I'm just saying, please remember others as well.

Also, something coming up in the future...sometime in the next little while, I am  going to start another blog.  I will continue to update this one and it will continue to be me poking fun at my life! ;-) But my other one will be a bit more serious focusing on my Diabetes, Celiac, College, Work, and Life Lessons ;-) Knowing me, it probably won't be all that serious, but I can always hope, right??  Anyway, if you have any suggestions for Blog Titles, let me know.

Peace!

Busy Bee

Well, I can for real and for certain say that I am no longer a Senior.  How this happened?  I do not know.  But I got me mah big shmanshy diploma.

My gosh, though...my life.  I've been so busy lately that I'm constantly going someplace and doing something.  Today is the first time in WEEKS that I'm allowed to just sit down and relax.  I have NOTHING going on tonight!!!!  I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF!!!!!! I just can't deal with this whole "sitting around" thing.  It's weird.  I may go take a nap, because I'm so sleep deprived....I don't even know how I'm alive right now.

I just started a new job at Biggby.  Craziness.  My boss is a bit...odd.  But I love my job...except when I don't, which, honestly, isn't very often!  Thank God.

Anyway, I just found out GREAT news for the trip me and my friends are planning for July AND prom is tomorrow AND I had coffee...so I've successfully avoided any panic attacks today (this is a big deal for me right now...I've been having panic attacks almost daily! :p)!!!  I must say, I'm pretty dang pleased with life today!!

The one debby downer to today, is my food intake is being extremely restricted which makes me a grumpy pants...BUT, I shall live! ;-)

Well, I have nothing to say anymore right now...I just want to go finish my book and take a nap....and maybe make myself some pudding...hmmm...

Well, joy to the world!  Enjoy this FABULOUS weather!

Peace!

IMA SENER

Ah my, my....the life of a home schooled Senior.  This morning I completed my AP Calculus Test, then of course, being me, I had a doctor's appointment, then I came home to finish my gol' darn SENIOR BOARD.  Don't ask me WHY we have to make them, gah!!!  I must say, I'm a little proud of mine.  Hard work and glue-y fingers and it looks like my life: organized chaos.  I like it.

Anyway, tomorrow will consist purely of packing, home work, oh, yes...blood draw, not to mention MY SISTER IS GETTING CONFIRMED!! WOOT WOOT!  More power to you, baby-girl!  Then of course, the creme de la resitance (too lazy to get the proper accents from the internet), THE GREAT GATSBY MIDNIGHT PREMIER!!!!  Which is ACTUALLY a misnomer considering the fact that I'm going to a 10 PM "Midnight Premier" but whatevah.

Then of course there's the 4AM wake-up and departure for NC Friday morning.  So of course, I have to read a book, write a paper on it and gather ALL of my assignments together to mail in tomorrow...not to mention laundry to do.

Well, I think that was sufficiently random, scattered, and confusing for one night.  I'm thoroughly exhausted and stressed for no decent reason, and wasting all of my time watching Sherlock and browsing Facebook, checking the prom attendee list, and scallywagging on any website I stumble upon.  Sleep is for the weak...and the happy.

Lack of sleep DOES SOMETHING TO YOU!!!!  if you couldn't tell by this ENTIRE post.  I'm just losing my mind.  No biggie.  Stress not or you'll end up like me: jittery, jumpy, worn out, ready to punch a monkey, and...yeah, that's about it.

I'm nearing the brink, that's foh sho....it's enough to make you want to spout movie quotes from every decent movie ever made, including Princess Bride, Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, She's The Man and many, many more.  THEN AGAIN....I do that anyway!  So there's that...

Well, I should probably stop revealing just how mental I've become! ;-)

Peassabi!

A Dangerous Condition

Oh...oh....no!  I think...I might...it could be...that I...I...I just may be DYING!!!!  OH SWEET MOTHER OF LINCOLN!!!!  HELP ME!!!!!

Why am I slowly (but surely) dying??

What horrendous allergic reaction is causing me such lingering pain and misery that DEATH is even a viable possibility at this time??

I will tell you...though I do have to warn you, I'm trying to keep this on the DL....I mean, there aren't many people who suffer from this condition...it's fairly rare.  I can't decide if it makes me abnormal, I mean, it's not usually girls who have this condition and so I get a little self-conscious, you know?

(Deep Breath)

Wellllll...you see....ummmm...OK!  I'LL TELL YOU ALREADY!!!!  I'm allergic to...to...well...shopping!  OK?!  I'm allergic to shopping!

Side affects include: dizziness, nausea, paranoia, panic-attacks, migraines, stomach aches, blurry eye-sight (oh, no wait...my glasses are just dirty and the prescription is old...scratch that), exhaustion, irritation, low blood sugar (it's happened once or twice....COINCIDENCE?!  I.THINK.NOT!!!), high blood sugar (I swear, it's happened at LEAST twice in the past 18 years), my wallet loses weight and begins to look sickly, fainting (when I walk past Abercrombie&Fitch or Hollister and get knocked over by that horrendous scent), clumsiness (my mom says I was born that way, but I walked into door/walls at LEAST twice, so I don't think that's natural), and extreme hunger...well, there's a whole book on this condition, but there's really too much to go into at this time.

BUT!!!  Despite the fact that I will be recovering for some time (mainly curled up reading Harry Potter or crying in a corner with a chocolate bar and a glazed expression)....I DID IT!

I pushed through the pain like a true winner and managed to find the necessities:
-Work shoes
-Prom dress
-Graduation dress
-Dress for my SISTER'S graduation
-Cartilage piercing
-New glasses

And a few other things I've been in need of for awhile.

I will tell you, looking for a prom dress has been no easy task.  I think I've spent more time looking for one than I've spent shopping in the rest of my 18 years COMBINED!!!!  Good gosh.  Pain in the gooney, may I just say!!!  I still need to accessorize (WHY, GOD, WHY WAS I BORN A GIRL?!?!?!?) but that can wait for another day and will (hopefully) be far less traumatic.

Despite my whining and dramatics, I DID get to spend quality time shopping with my parents this morning and then with my friends this afternoon.  See?  I can find the light in the darkest, most dreary situations! ;-)

No, I am extremely grateful for everything I've been blessed with.  Don't EVER doubt it!

Well, I really must return to my recovery period (aka Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone).

Peace, ma homies!

May, May, May

What?  May already??  Crap dang.  Not ready for everything that entails.

I'll do the only thing that makes ANY sense...I'll get sick to my stomach on a glorious spring day.  Right.  So sick that I spend most of the day sleeping and the other half, too miserable to study for upcoming AP tests.  Makes perfect sense.  Thank you, body, for being so reasonable.  I truly appreciate your kindness.

OK, I'm being dramatic.  It's something I'm quite good at when I feel like it.

All sarcasm and griping aside, today is a wonderful day.  "Why?" you ask.  Because, 21 years ago, my parents got married.  For obvious reasons, that is one of the most important days of my life...if they hadn't gotten married, been open to life, etc, etc...no Alex.  And where would this world be without me?

Totally kidding.

In all seriousness though, they are such a wonderful example of what marriage should be.  Nobody's perfect, but I have to say, I appreciate everything they've done for me.  They love me.  They trust me.  They're cool and crazy, but they're responsible and know the balance between "friends" (per say) and parents.  Not to mention their incredible love for each other.  I can honestly say, I hope that someday I meet someone who loves me as much as my dad loves my mom and who I love as much as my mom loves my dad.

They still sometimes act like teenage lovebirds (and after their weight loss...they even LOOK a little like teenage lovebirds!!) and even though it kinda grosses me out a little and though they embarrass me as only parents can embarrass their children...I love them and appreciate their love for each other immensely.

I love you Momma and Baba!!

*I was going to post a recent picture of them kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower (they went over Easter Break) but, they're my parents...and (no offense, Ma and Ba) but....EW.

Give your parents hugs and kisses, because, even if they're not mine....they're pretty awesome!

Peace!
