Two things:
1) What does one do when your phone refuses to charge and you have to wait until March 2014 for an upgrade??
2) I don't care, but the OCD side of me refused to end the year with only 24 posts....it's an awful number, 25 is SO much better.
3) 3 is
-1 more than 2
-The number of months before I turn 18
-One of my favorite numbers
-Not 2, hence making the title of this post WRONG
-And half of an 8
PEACE!!!

'Twas The Night Before New Years
'Twas the night before New Years
And there I was sitting
All by myself, with not one of my peers
My parents were doing, what parents all do
To ring in the New Year
Surrounded by people and wine and good beer
They party all night, but never too hard, so don't you dare fear
But here I am sitting,
It's New Years once more,
And I will be honest,
It's always a bore.
I'm sorry, there is my pathetic attempt at poetry. But there's no better way to say I am NOT a fan of New Years Eve...it's an over romanticized notion surrounded in ridiculous "resolutions" and drowning in alcohol.
I have nothing against resolutions, but why do people decide "New Year, New Me!" when in all reality, in two weeks, you'll forget about them anyway. Why do you have to wait until the beginning of the year to make resolutions? If there are changes that need to be made, why do you have to wait until the beginning of the year????? I mean, honestly. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
Also, who the heck came up with the entire idea of a "kiss at midnight"?? If you have someone you care about, why is it SOOOO important to have that *super important* first kiss of the year?? Euughh. Ridonkulous.
To those who go to Times Square to be drink way too much and be surrounded by complete strangers: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! THAT IS NOT FUN!!! That is boring. And cold.
What will I be doing tonight? * Sniff * Well, I will probably be parked on my couch with my single self, watching How I Met Your Mother and when the ball drops?? I will slowly sip my delicious champagne and give my favorite baby brother a lil smooch on the cheek.
The rest of you can have your beer and your parties and your boyfriends and girlfriends and your midnight kisses...
To those who call me bitter? Definitely not. I just find this particular holiday a little ridiculous.
Cheers and Happy New Year!
Peace Out 2012!!!

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda
What I Should Be Doing:
-AP Calculus Homework
-Laundry
-Cleaning
-Working Out
What I Want To Be Doing:
-Take my dog for a walk in the snow
-Read a book
-Hang out with friends I haven't seen in awhile
-Watch TV
What I Am Actually Doing:
-Nothing(ish)
-Getting a back massage
-Eating cottage cheese
-Messing around on the internet
Moral of the story? There is none, other than:
1) I am lazy
2) If we don't get up and DO what we want or what we should be doing...nothing will happen.
3) My dog most likely will disown me for being a terrible owner
4) My laundry is becoming Mt. Everest II
5) Snow is beautiful
6) Cottage Cheese (with some help) is fabulous
7) Baby, it's cold outside
8) How I Met Your Mother is an entertaining (if slightly inappropriate) TV show
9) I have fabulous hair
10) The price of tea in China is: ¥ 6.98
I don't know how some of those morals can be gathered from my earlier lists, but I guess it's just in between the lines.
Have a wonderful Friday!
Peace!

SDFKJHKASDHKJH!!!!!!
Maybe I'm coming across a little desperate but, well, I AM!!!!
I love my family. Love my house. Love lazing around. But there comes a point when you reach your limit, where you just need to GET OUT FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!! I mean, the only time I've left my house in the past 48 hours was to go see Les Mis (which, by the way, was one of the most incredible movies I've ever seen in my entire life!!!!!!) and that was with my family. I literally am getting that panicked, closed-in feeling which makes me highly irritable and high-strung. I've tried to leave the house on several occasions but was told I can't because of the snow storm!
And of course, since I'm "sitting around the house doing nothing" I might as well clean...EVERYTHING!!! Literally, the only time I have walked outside was to bring the trash to the trashcan which is right outside the door.
Right now, as I sit, attempting to do my AP Calculus, I am approaching a mental break down. In a few hours, I'll do what I ALWAYS do to preserve my sanity: take a long, quiet, peaceful walk up and down my road until I can't stand the cold any more!
....Wow...even just THINKING about going for a walk is already starting to calm me down.
Well, I guess I should go work on my Calculus so that I actually stand a chance of being able to go for a walk.
This has been quite an interesting day, that's for sure.
Anywho, I'm off. Ta ta for now!
Peace!!

Nonbreaks
I'm FINALLY done with school for last semester!! It's such a relief, to be honest.
And now I'm treating myself to a break, I'm enjoying a back massage (THANK YOU SHIATSU!!! BEST PRESENT EVER!!! AND IT'S NOT EVEN MINE!) and not doing anything productive.
In about 5 more minutes though, my break has to end. I will go up to my room and "clean" it. The hard part is that Bella and Gabry, who I share with, are both gone at the moment so I'm really not sure how productive I'll ACTUALLY be.
After that, it's time to start the AP Calculus homework I have to do over break...
WHY DO THEY CALL IT BREAK WHEN IT'S NOT ACTUALLY A BREAK?!?!?! This is a mind-boggling conundrum that I doubt will ever be solved.
If anyone out there would like to save me from myself, I would appreciate it if someone "kidnapped" me for the day and took me off to do something fun...because this break has been more of a non-break, and I'm not sure how much longer I can survive this kind of thing!
Anyway, there are things I need to attend to. Enjoy your break for me, please and thank you!
Peace!

Pure Heaven
"Yeah you make feel like, I've been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long."
Bruno Mars may have questionable morals, but I understand those two lines right now.
You see, at this time, I am sitting in a chair with a Shiatsu Massage Cushion. My people, you do not understand the words "Heaven on earth" until you have experienced the joy of the Shiatsu Massage Cushion.
My. Word.
Pure Heaven. As in, I MAY JUST FALL ASLEEP OR JUST PLAIN DIE FROM JOY!!!!!!
* SIIIIIIGHHH *
Oh yah, mm mm good.
In other news, my brother is well on his way to an all-out sugar coma. I swear, he's been ingesting sugar like nobodies business since he woke up.
This Christmas may be one of my favorite in memory. It was simple, I got the perfect gifts, and the looks on my little sisters faces?? Definitely the best part. I thought Lulu (who actually turns 4 in just over a week) was going to explode!
I'm pleasantly full and perfectly content.
May you all have a blessed and amazing Christmas!
Peace!

My Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad PROBLEM
I have a problem...
A terrible, terrible problem...
To be honest, most of the time, I can get by and not suffer TOO badly from the horror that is my problem....
But, then again, for every "most time" there is the "rest of the time" offsetting it.
And now, for the sad, sorry, horrendous, painful truth:
I--I CAN'T WRAP PRESENTS!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, I guess technically yes I CAN (for those of you who would judge the reality of my last statement). The problem is, I cannot do so well. My presents usually end up looking like a mangled, taped together, ripped...THING.
'Tis the most terrible season to be a terrible gift-wrapper...
This year, I sort of, half-solved my problem: I think I may have finally been able to convince my siblings that poorly-wrapped gifts are a symbol of just how "nice" the child has been..
AHEM.
Regardless, this year I didn't do TOO terribly bad...then again, I think I'm looking at that stack of disfigured objects through rose colored glasses and claiming more skill than I actually do possess.
Someday...HA!!!!! No. That will never happen. My poor, possible, future children...maybe I'll simply hire someone to wrap for me...
Well, I'm off to bed so that SANTA WILL COME AND LEAVE PRESENTS FOR ME UNDER THE TREE!!!! (I'm expecting a baby blue convertible and a yacht this year, because really, it isn't TOO much to ask, is it, Santa Baby??)
Peace!

The Eeyore Complex
I'm sure everyone can relate to those "melancholic" days where, nothing is actually wrong, but you just feel...well....melancholic. It's days like that when you just want to sit in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea and snuggle with somebody and read a good book...and listen to sad music!
There's not technically anything WRONG with feeling melancholic, it's not as though you're depressed or there's something terribly amiss with you. Sometimes it just happens, and when it does, you simply have to make the best of it.
Today, I am feeling this way. The only difference is, I don't call it being "depressed" or "melancholic" or any of those dreary words, no I personally prefer the term "The Eeyore Complex." It's funny because usually I'm such a Tigger, but every Tigger has Eeyore days, I suppose.
I can't fully appreciate the pure Eeyore-ness of today though....or maybe I can...see, I'm doing a week's worth of homework (Yes, yes...AGAIN) and then it's off to work for a 6 hour shift.
The good news is that HOPEFULLY, I will be handing in my two weeks notice today and then I'm free from at least one problem!!
To all the Eeyores out there: Don't let it get you down for too long, it's too much fun to be happy!
Peace!

It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time...
To say that I am losing my mind would be a vague understatement!!
You see, the problem with homeschooling--well, one of the problems anyway!--is that you're never truly DONE!
Technically, I've been "done" with school for approximately 2 1/2 weeks so far...in reality, I've been cramming to get everything done. Yesterday for instance, I completed two weeks worth of homework...IN ONE DAY!!!
Now TELL me that that isn't enough to drive one to drastic measures?!
Today, I have a few hours to attempt to complete another weeks worth. Unless I want to be doing homework on Christmas Day (yes, yes this is a legitimate possibility...) I need to do 1 week's worth today, tomorrow and Monday (Yeah, yeah Christmas EVE!!!).
My recommendation to you???? DO YOUR HOMEWORK WHEN YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SO YOU'RE NOT STUCK PLAYING 'Catch Up' OVER YOUR BREAKS!!!!
.....or ignore me...and reason for that matter, do whatever the heck you want...AND DIEEE!!!!!
I speak from experience, dear Reader...
Very unpleasant, miserable, brain-killing, eye-blurring experience...
Well, I must depart and do homework.
Until later,
Peace!

CHRISTMAS BREAK
So, funny story, this.
My younger siblings get home from Mexico last night, at about 10 to 12AM. I am exhausted and I know I have to get up in about 6 hours for my LAST.AP CALC.CLASS.OF THE SEMESTER!!!
I know that the next day is going to be rough, but I say to myself, "Eh, I can do it...it's one last day."
Fast forward to this morning, 9:04A.M....
Me: * Rolls out of bed * "OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I SLEPT THROUGH MY ALARM!!!"
Dun.Dun.DUNNNNN.
I sound awful, and I mean, TRULY awful...my voice is COMPLETELY shot for no reason whatsoever. I frantically begin shooting off texts and making phone calls. Luckily, I got ahold of my teacher who was totally cool about the whole thing, adding, "Go back to bed! You sound like you need more sleep!" She sent home my homework with my neighbor and all's well that ends well.
Now, I'm at a coffee-shop, ingesting as much caffeine as it takes to get me going and being absolutely unproductive on my computer...after all, it IS Christmas Break now.
This isn't exactly how I envisioned starting my Christmas Break, I definitely thought I'd finish it feeling more accomplished. But I'll take what I can get. It's Christmas Break, which, when you're homeschooled like I am, means, "Cram about 2 months worth of schoolwork that I was SUPPOSED to do for my mom the rest of the semester into 2 weeks!!!!"
That being said, I should probably close down shop now and head home to noise, school and "Christmas Break."
Thank you, my beautiful Espresso Royale for being here for me when I needed to kick back and chug some mocha!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Hope you all enjoy your Christmas Breaks!!
Peace!
