SWEET 16!!!!!

"Birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more cake."
"Birthdays are ordinary days sprinkled with stardust."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
(1 DAY EARLY) TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY (1 DAY EARLY) TO ME! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (1 DAY EARLY) TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (1 DAY EARLY) TO MEEEEEEE!!!! :D

Thank you! Thank you! No, you're awesome! Yes, tomorrow, I turn 16. Oh, psh, no need to clap! Yes, yes, I know...how did I do it? Well, the answer is beauty and talent and all the skillz in between. The big 1-6. Everybody's so hyped up over this age...and you know they have a point. I mean once you've reached 16, it shows that you are truly accomplished. You've survived psychotic relatives, 2 years of high school, meow meow girls, boys with cooties...the list is simply endless. It takes talent to reach the age of 16 (for the most part) unscathed. I mean, if you get there in (bobbles head) basically one piece, high five and way to go!

Of course, I, reached the age of 16 (yes, hush, I know it's one day early!!!) with hardly a problem. Psychotic family? Psh. I have that one waaaaaay under control. (heh heh heh) 2 years of high school? Pffft! Didn't break a sweat (Yes, I am signing autographs later...wait in line!). Meow meow girls?? I just let them eat each other alive while I watched from the sidelines. (It's good for a laugh, I recommend it!) Boys with cooties?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I eat them for lunch. (If you're as classless and rude and retarded as those boys...I recommend running away NOW. Bwahahahahahaha!) The endless list of other stuff, well, I don't think I need to go there!

Now, I will leave you all to ponder my awesomeness....don't be jealous. I was born this way.

Be good. Wish me well. And all that nonsense....

Peace Out,
Almost 16

"No" and "Mine"

I have been a selfish being all my life, in practice, though not in principle.” -Jane Austen

Two words that do nothing but make two people miserable? No and Mine.

This is a conversation that is typical in any family:

Child 1: Oh! Gum! Can I have some?
Child 2: NO!
Child 1: Why?
Child 2: Because...because it's MINE!

Ok. Why? That's what I want to know. It doesn't matter what it is your sibling asks for, your first response is always going to be "NO" and your second response is probably going to be "MINEMINEMINE!!!"

The other day at dinner, my sister asked me for one of my french fries (which, by the way, there weren't many of) and I really really wanted to say no. Buuut, I bit my tongue and handed the priceless piece of potato over to the ungrateful little thing. ;)

I am not perfect. No where near it. And sharing is not something I (or anyone) likes to do. We're all selfish little pigs for the most part. It's oh so very sad.

Share. Be good. Look both ways before you cross the street.

Peace Out,
Yes it's now Yours ;)

Demon Couch

"The goal of all inanimate objects is to resist man and ultimately defeat him."
Russell Baker

Yes, it's true. No one (and I do mean no one) can defeat an inanimate object. Strange as it seems, not even I (as awesome as I am) can defeat them.

For instance, last night, my couch ruthlessly attacked me. It had no right to besiege me. I did nothing to instigate such a cold-blooded assault. I was simply sticking my hand into the dark recesses that inhabit that 1 inch of space between the bottom of the couch and the floor. Y'see, I thought I had lost my ipod....and what better place to look then under a couch? Anyway, I was just innocently searching for a beloved object...when the couch just HJGF! IT BIT ME! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!?! I couldn't. I now have a life-threateningly deep laceration on the poor tall finger on my left hand. I'm sure if I had looked, I would have seen the bone. It was quite frightening. I worried for my life! Luckily...my dad was there and he was able to help me fix it.

I probably should have gone to the ER all things considered...but I just ran some magical water and fluffy, foamy soap over the gash. And (MIRACLE OF MIRACLES!!!!!!!) it stopped bleeding and has now scabbed over. Thank God! Although, it now causes me daily pain and discomfort.

I should warn you all of the dangers of couches. THEY'RE OUT TO GET US! They must not feel appreciated. I mean, we sit on 'em every day and they have to suffer through the thankless job. *GASP* It's terrible! Have YOU ever thanked your couch?!?! I THINK NOOOT! I now nominate today "Couch Appreciation Day!" Just saying. GIVE YOUR COUCH A HUG TODAY!

Appreciate your couch...cus someday when couches take over the world...yours might not kill you.

Peace Out.

*Note: I feel I should tell you the cut I received from the couch is maybe an inch long and is not deeper than a scratch an angry 5-year old would give you. My life was in no danger from this wound.

GAH!!!!!!!

"Actually, I think the average voice is like 70 percent tone and 30 percent noise. My voice is 95 percent noise." -Harvey Fierstein

That should be a quote from the lips of my very cute but very, Very, VERY loud little sister. Ohhhh my word. Right now, I have my ipod plugged in and I have it almost as loud as it can go. Y'see, my dear, darling little sister has a voice that is sometimes the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. She does this thing where she doesn't sing...she shrieks/yells/yodels/screeches out a song (uhhhh..."song"). Then she goes up to the piano and starts banging some tune out. Oh, and she makes up her own songs on the piano as well.

Now don't get me wrong, when she wants to, she can sing beautifully and can play the piano pretty well....when she wants to. Key words there, my friend. It is seldom that she thinks it's a good idea to actually play/sing nicely.

Now...it seems kind of weird that I'm drowning out her noise with other noise. Believe me, the noise of my ipod is much much MUCH better than her noise.

Younger siblings definitely do their best to help you grow in patience. Apparently, they're all helping me prepare for real life. If you ask me, I think that real life will be much more peaceful after family life. Then again, someday I'll have my own family. Oh crap. Ohcrapohcrapohcrap. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Ok, moment of panic is over.

Thank God for loud, beautiful music, ipods and, yes, family.

Peace out.

Me, Myself and This Blog

Cute is when a person's personality shines through their looks. Like in the way they walk, every time you see them you just want to run up and hug them.

Ok, so I'm not saying that's me. (Even though I am perty darn cute and very, very much huggable.) I'm not actually quite sure what I'm saying...ahem...anyway. According to some of my awesome friends who actually read this blog, this has "ME" written all over it. Which I find amusing since this blog is basically ADHD and random and crazy...oh wait...that is me... ;)

I think it's interesting how something can hold the essence of someone. I mean, not just the obviousness of me written all over these pages...but just..anything. I wonder why people connect certain objects, emotions, images and words with certain people. It's actually pretty cool.

So, hey there. Meet me. Read my other posts. Scratch your head. Worry a little for my sanity and please (PUHLEAASE) laugh a little....just to make me feel like I'm...y'know...funny. Humor me here!!!

Peace out suckerrrrrs!!!!!

Barbie=TORTURE!!!!

"Anyone will say anything under torture. " -George Galloway

If anyone has any information they need to get out of me...now is the time. I'm being forced to watch Barbie Fashion Fairy Tale (according to my 5-year old sister). IT'S RIDICULOUUUUS! :( My sister's are all glued to the TV and quoting the entire movie...THEY HAVE IT MEMORIZED!

I'm ready to do almost anything to get out of this!!! HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED BARBIE?!?!?! OH! And THEN they have this terrible horrible very catchy song playing. It's called: "GET YOUR SPARKLE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!" OH MY GOSH! My little sisters have been singing it alllll daaaaay looong! :'( Ahhhhh! Woe is me!

This is pure torture. I swear...it's enough to try almost anyone. Ahhhh! I'm reaching the end of my rope. Ahhhhhh! Ok. Enough "ahhh-ing" No big deal. Nothing too....much for me. Ha! *Sob* Ahem. Anyway.

"That what don't kill you makes you stronger"...right?? Ehhhhhhh-heh-heh! :(

Barbie must die.

Peace out.

P.S. The pink is in honor of my dear, dear friend...BARBIE! *big phony smile*

Life

"Life is a weird thing. A strange thing. A kick in the ass thing. Life is a beer and a hug when you need one. Life is up and life is down. Life is all your deeds coming back around." -A person

Ok, so I don't have much experience of life. How much experience can one teen have? High school doesn't give one much experience at all.... Ohhhh high school.

Here's a book I'd like to buy: "High school 101: Surviving Hell and Living To Tell." Pretty clever, eh?? ;) Naw, but I'd TOTALLY buy that book! Seriously! High school's kinda really confusing! Everyone's weird and no one knows who they are and....I dunno...it's just weird?? But I guess that's not really great logic to back my argument up with. Like I was talking to one of my friends about today, some weirds are good...others...not so much. High school is a not good weird. Icky icky icky BATTOW!

I hate high school. I wish I could skip it. But then, in the words of my mother: "I appreciate what I learned in high school...but I wouldn't repeat it for anything!!!" Good to know Ma, good to know....I'M HALF WAY DONE!!!! :D ...not that I'm counting or anything!

High school: What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

Dear Lord....please let that be true!!!!! Amen.

Don't let high school get to ya!

Peace Out.

Tick Tock

"Tick tock, on the clock. But the party don't stop, no." -Ke$ha

Ok, so that has NOOOTHING to do with what I was GONNA post...but hey, it works, right? Yeah. Right. So shuttup.

A quote that really fits what I'm trying to say is:

"There is never enough time in one day to do everything that needs to be done." -Yours Truly

Oh how very very true...which is why I came up with it. Although..that's probably not original...I may have heard it somewhere else. But guess what?? Whoever came up with that quote is GENIUUUUUS!! :D

Ahem. Anyway, moving on. I always have about a zillion things to do and by 5 PM...I have almost none of it all done. You should see my to do list...it's about two pages long and at the end of the day...I have maybe half a page crossed off. Talk about depressing.

If only there was some way to pause time, get everything done then unpause and move on with life. Ahhh! That would be such a beautiful wonderful thing.

Oh well. Regardless of how we'd like things to go....life will do what life will do.

Life is crazy.

Peace out.

Tiiiiiiired

Sleep is like the unicorn - it is rumored to exist, but I doubt I will see any” -Author Unknown

I would have to agree. Most definitely. I don't remember exactly when the last time was I had a good nights sleep. Not that I have anyone to blame but myself. Actually...that's not quite true. Between school and friends...who has time for sleep??????? Not me. Which is why I have been staring at a blank piece of paper trying to do math FOR THE WHOLE MORNING!!!!!!!!

As soon as I do a terrible half-way job (that my mother will probably later kill me for)...I AM TAKING A NAP. End of story.

I recommend a nap to the world. A nap a day keeps....something...away.

Considering my eyes are slowly shutting as I write this...I will depart.

Peace Out,
ZZZZZZZZZ

HUGS!!!

"I love hugging. I wish I was an octopus, so I could hug ten people at a time." ~Drew Barrymore

"Hug Department: Always Open" ~Author Unknown

"They invented hugs to let people know you love them without saying anything."
Bil Keane

"I will not play tug o' war. I'd rather play hug o' war. Where everyone hugs instead of tugs, Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins. "
Shel Silverstein

As you may (or may not) be able to tell...I'm a hugger. And I'm in a huggy mood. Unfortunately, I have nothing witty, humorous, or interesting to say. So, I'll just let you enjoy those few quotes. To make it seem like I had more to say...I added extra spaces. Doesn't it look like a longer, more interesting post now?? ;)

Peace Out,
People Hugger ;)
